[DRAFT] First Sri Lankan woman trained as an architect and the first Asian woman elected an associate of RIBA (1948). A pioneer of what she called 'Modern Regionalism', she fused modernism with local craft and participatory design, anticipating Critical Regionalism. A founding contributor to the journal Marg.
